Application Overview

The Holy Bible Project software was developed in the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 environment. For the application to run in your computer, it should meet the minimum requirements as shown in the Installation Requirements below.

If the minimum requirements are met, you simply need to download and install the Holy Bible Project Installer File (see box on the right).

If not, you need to download and install the required redistributable files from Microsoft. Direct links to these files are shown below. Alternatively, you may update and select the required items using Windows Update.

Installation Procedure After Download

To install the Holy Bible Project in your computer:

  1. Double click the downloaded hbpsetup.exe file
  2. Click the Unzip button to extract the Holy Bible Project setup files to the HBPSetupFiles subdirectory (or to the subdirectory you specified). Click OK, then Close to close the windows.
  3. Go to that subdirectory where you will find four files: README.htm, setup.exe, setup.ini, and hbpsetup.msi. The file extensions (.htm, .exe, .ini. and .msi) may be hidden depending on your setting.
  4. Double click README.htm and follow the instructions to complete the installation. Alternatively, you can double click the setup application file (setup.exe).

Installation Requirements

  1. Operating System Requirement: Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows NT 4 with Service Pack 6a, Windows 2000 with latest service pack and critical updates, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 Family
  2. Software Prerequisites: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1; Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.7; Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01. These are typically available in Windows XP or higher environment. For other operating systems that do not have the required versions, you may use Windows Update and select the items, or directly download these redistributables from the Microsoft website (see direct links below).
  3. Hardware Requirement: Pentium 133 MHz and 64 MB RAM (Minimum); Pentium 800 MHz or faster and 256 MB or higher RAM (Recommended)
